SAFETY OF 225 RAIL
Safety is a critical factor in the daily activities of running a rail terminal. At 225 Rail, we are second to none when it comes to implementing policies and procedures that keep our employees, our contractors, our visitors, and our environment safe.
With Transloading and Rail Car Storage being two of the primary services provided by 225 Rail, safety in these areas is a top priority.
225 Rail continues to make their environmental and safety programs more robust.
Transload groups start two hours prior to the switching crews so if needed the switching crew can move transloaded railcars after the transload crews complete their schedule. Prior to the start of their day, they have toolbox meetings to discuss their JSAs and what they need to look out for that day.
Once the team is geared up and ready to go, the focus turns to providing the safest possible service throughout the day with efficiency and accuracy. When transloading chemicals, it is vitally important to ensure that Transloads are completed without error or incident. One way we accomplish this is a triple verification process we have in place to ensure transloads are done safely and accurately.
One of the largest services provided by 225 Rail is rail car storage. It involves a constant moving, rearranging and switching of rail cars to manage rail car storage space efficiently. Because there is zero margin for error, safety in managing rail car storage space is at the forefront of every move we make at 225 Rail.
Energy levels and being at your best play a huge role in safety. At 225 Rail, we understand this and have invested in providing an area to make sure those working get what they need to replenish their strength and focus.
Whatever services we provide at 225 Rail, We have adopted the motto, “SAFETY STARTS WITH ME. LIVE IT 365.” This includes critical safety practices such as general safety, fuel handling and storage, rail car operations, emergency response, confined space entry, environmental controls, and communication and reporting. All things working together to make sure that we all get home safe to our families.
225 Rail, safely handling your railcar service needs.
