Mechanical Repairs
Our railcar mechanical technicians are equipped with the tools, and experience to provide quality mechanical services to our customers railcars. Mechanical Services include but are not limited to the following.

Valves and fittings services

Our teams are capable and qualified to inspect, repair, and replace tank car service equipment such as:

• Pressure relief devices
• Closures and fittings
• Devices used for loading, unloading, venting or sampling
• Vacuum relief valves
• Gaskets and fasteners including eyebolts

Compliance Testing
At 225 Rail in partnership with UTLX we can help to make sure tank cars are in compliance with up to date regulatory requirements. We deliver the top rated services to meet the needs of our customers that include coating and lining inspections, service equipment testing, and tank car qualifications. Our tank car experts are AAR certified and provide a railcar service you can count on.

Coatings and Linings
We offer an array of coating and lining solutions in order to protect railcars and the commodities they transport. Interior coatings and lining applications allow a much more broad range of products such as:

• Consumable food products
• Medical grade plastics
• Highly corrosive acids
• Asphalt and sulfur
• Other oil and gas products

Additionally, we can arrange for the railcar to be taken off site for full exterior painting services to protect the railcar from weather and other elements of the environment.

Tank Car Modifications
At 225 Rail, technicians can assist in the development of a transition plan for DOT-111 and CPC-1232 tank car fleets moving flammable liquids to meet HM-251 deadlines and specifications. Modified DOT-117R tank cars feature advanced safety components, such as the following:
